What i currently miss the most is a configuration option to disallow the nesting of Spans.
I already filed a feature request, but there doesn't seem to happen anything (Trackerid 5411).

There is a huge need (at least for us) to employ spans as i described in my further post (i have encountered several others who were looking for that feature too). The produced output gets handled in Adobe Indesign later on - and in Indesign there should be no nested spans (otherwise we have big trouble).

Our actual workaround is to use an own custom style plugin with a modified formatter class that takes care of the span handling. But it would be nice not to fiddle around with the formatter class each time we update to the newest tinymce version.

What I'm currently missing most, now that modern versions of android, iOS and tinymce gets along fine, is better interaction on touch devices, my primary gripe being draggable dialogs. I have a dialog which continuously updates the editor until closed, and the user may have to move it out of the way if it covers the area being edited. It is currently impossible on touch devices.

I like the TinyMCE editor and i advise and implement it in every project where i need it.

If I should mention improvements:
- Fullscreen support isn't perfect in IE browsers (it sometimes bumps and loses focus after inserting images)
- Better ipad support, so our customers can fully use our newslettersystem and setup newsletters from the couch

Bake in CDN support using the Moorage technique or something else. Every time we upgrade our TinyMCE we have to go through half a day of work to overhaul it for CDN use.

Never really understood why people want forms in a wysiwyg editor. I mean a form needs to be submitted somewhere to make sense? Could some one explain how one would use such a feature?

In case this topic is still read by dev team, my top feature requests are:

1. Dialog flexibility. Currently the dialogs are static size and content. I want to be able to remove form fields and auto-adjust dialog size.
2. Multiple alignment options within a single toolbar (some buttons aligned to the left, some to the right)
3. Load and operating performance increse!
4. :active css link state on toolbuttons

(Current version is 3.5)

Update style format Dropdown.

you have something like:

style_formats : [
{'title':'Text left', 'selector':'p', 'classes':'align-left'},
{'title':'Text red', 'selector':'p', 'classes':'text-red'}
]

The usere likes to have a p with both classes.
So he selects first "Text left" and then "Text red".

This works perfect. On the p i have both classe "align-left text-red".

But if the user opens now the dropdown, he see just "align-left" selected :-/

I absolutely need that you see all "ative" classes from this Element .
