Topic: How to Disable auto linking in IE

Hi,

I searched on the forum with no answer... Is there a way or tips to disable the autolinking made by Internet Explorer
(If y write www.foo.fr(space) it converts it as a link and I don't want that sad  )

same problem here! if you press "ENTER" its still converting even spaces to link, and if you press BACKSPACE to delete everyting to the anchor keyword it deletes link by itself. Something wrong with closing <a> tag.

I guess it's a perfect question to ask Microsoft Support Service. Well, you have paid for it wink

interesting, why same thing happening in Google Chrome and FireFox ?

This only happens on IE and it's an IE feature that can't be disabled. WebKit, Gecko and Opera has no such support.

hmmm, how could WYSIWYG PRO and FCK make this problem disapear ? There is no such bug.

They have the exact same problem. Maybe we are talking about different things. I'm talking about the auto generation of links if you type things like www.site.com into the editor or pressed backspace at the end of a link. Both TinyMCE, CKEditor and WysiwygPro and probably every other editor out there has this MS feature intact.
