Topic: TinyMCE 3.5.5 Released

This release adds completely rewritten resize logic for images and tables on WebKit/Opera since those browsers lack native resize support in contentEditable. The custom resize logic we added mimics the one found in Gecko with resize handles and a ghost element while re-sizing. It also supports drag/drop something that the previous 3.5.4 version didn't support.

We also fixed a bunch of issues and pulled in quite a few pull requests. So a big thanks goes out to all the contributors.

See the changelog for more exact details on what we fixed since the last release.

Re: TinyMCE 3.5.5 Released

Hi there

I had a quick look at the resize option in Webkit - it looks pretty cool.

Just one bit of feedback for you though - is there a way to maintain aspect ratios when resizing diagonally?

Or is this too difficult to do without knowing exactly what the original width and height were? (Presumably if you kept calculating this from the current width and height then rounding errors would creep in pretty quickly for multiple resize operations.)

Actually the nightly has correct aspect ratios. I missed that when mimicking the Gecko resize. It now scales with aspect ratio maintained when using the nw, ne, sw, se resize handles on images or when using any of the modifier keys like shift while re-sizing a table element.

Just a minor bug: Opera 12, when resizing a right aligned image with shift key pressed (maitaining aspect ratio), dummy image isn't positioned correctly (the same with table).

ok. here it is wink http://www.tinymce.com/develop/bugtrack … hp?id=5415
