You didnt understand me, i want to edit picture, but when i got original picture which i modify (some other url on my web can point to that picture) and i do crop, then i save it, it didnt ask if i want to overwrite original picture, so that means if i overwrite it i dont have original anywhere safely hidden, thats a problem. So can i set somewhere, that it will ask if i want to save under new name (save as)?

No sorry, there is no option for that at the moment.

Re: rewrite original pictures

Is this an option in the 3.0 release?

Re: rewrite original pictures

3.0 has a save as dialog. You can specify the filename of the new image.

Re: rewrite original pictures

Awesome, I see the "Save as" fileld in the demo.

Once more question, along the lines of the original post in this thread.  Is it possible to prevent overwriting of the original image, or automatically append a suffix to the edited filename?  Just wondering if the original image can be protected, so the user doesn't do anything stupid ; )

I didn't see anything obvious in the configuration docs that would accomplish this...

Thanks for your help!

Re: rewrite original pictures

No, it doesn't currently ask the user if it wants to overwrite the existing file. Maybe it should or at least have an option for it. I will add it to our to do list.
